  48.      INSTALLATION:
  49.  
  50.        - Run the Shockwave Dir 68K Installer to install the Netscape Plug-in
  51.          (NP-68K-Dir-Shockwave) and associated files into the Netscape 
  52.          Navigator plugins folder.

  55.      KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH WORKAROUNDS, SHOCKWAVE PLUG-IN:
  56.      
  57.        - If you just installed the Shockwave for Director Plug-in into 
  58.          your Netscape Navigator 3.0 Plug-ins folder and you see a 
  59.          broken icon when navigating to a Shockwave site then follow 
  60.          these steps.
  61.          1. While in Netscape Navigator 3.0, select 'General Preferences' 
  62.             from the 'Options' menu.
  63.          2. Click on the 'Helpers' tab of the General Prefences dialog.
  64.          3. In the list of helpers, scroll down and select 
  65.             'application/x-director'.
  66.          4. Press the 'Edit' button.
  67.          5. Select the 'Plug-in:' radio button in the 'Handled by' 
  68.             section of the 'Edit Type' dialog.
  69.          6. Choose 'NP-68K-Dir-Shockwave'.
  70.        - Out of Memory Errors (5 or -108).
  71.          Workaround: Increase Netscape's application memory to 8000 Kb
  72.          and restart Netscape. (Note: Netscape 3.0b5 requires 12000 Kb
  73.          and will crash after the error; use b4 or b6 instead.)

  76.      KNOWN PROBLEMS WITHOUT WORKAROUNDS, SHOCKWAVE PLUG-IN:

  78.        - General issues:  Avoid using Virtual Memory.  Avoid 
  79.          using Speed Doubler.  Open Transport users should install
  80.          version 1.1b10 or greater.
